2002-09-25 mildew update
Izzy has fizzled in the Gulf, so the arrival of the mighty Pablo tomorrow will only be met with slightly more spongy footing than usual. I love rain. And the wind knocking soaked old oak tree limbs against the sides of my house all night is pleasant too. Mother Nature has chosen to spare Ground Below Zero once more, and we 'preciate that. I rather like the landscape and architecture the way it is. (But, if you know anything about the condition of our city streets, you'd agree with me that roads turned to rivers and getting around by pirogue would be a welcome improvement.) So now, the false-alarm-hurricane parties can rage on into the weekend. B.Y.O.Brolly.
